TEXAS MOUNTED SHOOTERS is an Austin, Texas Cowboy Mounted Shooting Club. We are an affiliated club of the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA) and operate under the rules and guidelines of CMSA.  Our members range from as far north as Oklahoma and as far South as Westhoff, Texas.  The goal of Texas Mounted Shooters is to provide a genuine family atmosphere in which everyone has a chance to participate in Cowboy Mounted Shooting.  Our club is very fortunate to have a number of very accomplished competitors on hand to help the beginners get a good start at this sport.

The 2008 CMSA National Competition has just finished. Tammy Sronce won the Ladies Overall 2008 National Championship. Matt Sronce came in 4th place Overall. Other Texans placing high in the Overall standings were, Brion Webb in 11th place, Darcy Moreland in 16th place and Don Sronce in 22nd place. Chris Guido placed 4th in the Rifle Championship and Lisa Dipple placed 9th in the Cavalry Championship. Matt and Tammy Sronce both placed 3rd in the Wrangler Pro Division. The CMSA 2008 National 1st Place Class winners were Bill Visnoski in the Senior Men's 3, Darcy Moreland in the Ladies 3 and Muranda Sales in the Junior Ladies 1. Although Taylor Marley is from New Mexico, we consider him a Texan. Taylor placed 1st in the Men's 3. Other shooters that placed well in the 2008 Nationals were Brion Webb, 3rd in Men's 5, Matt Sronce 4th in Men's 6, Kate Marley 3rd in Ladies 4, Dianne Lemons 2nd in Senior Ladies 2, Shannon Males 3rd in Senior Ladies 2, Cheryl McLane 2nd in Senior Ladies 3, Mickey Owens 4th in Senior Ladies 3, Don Sronce 2nd in Senior Men's 5, Sarah Sales 4th in Wrangler Open and Lily McCurdy 4th in Wrangler Limited.
